Melissa Hotel - Matala (Crete)

During our romantic escape, we enjoyed the fantastic pool, which had plenty of sun loungers and was surrounded by a beautiful view. The breakfast was sufficient and provided a good choice. The room was clean and spacious, with a large balcony to enjoy the view.

There were a lot of stairs leading up to the hotel, which might be difficult for those with limited mobility. The dinner was not the best we’ve tasted but it was still enjoyable.

We loved the peacefulness and cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast served fresh home-made jams, cakes, and honey was amazing. The pool area was beautiful with plenty of shaded sun loungers and a view of the hillside. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and found this hotel to be an easy and flat walk to the beach and restaurants.

We particularly liked the comfortable sun loungers and the beautiful view of the hillside. the accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We also enjoyed trying out the dinner, which was a good value for money and offered traditional food.

the hotel is situated up a steep hill, which could be difficult for people with limited mobility.

The hotel's location is great for those who want a quiet and relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach. It's only a short walk to Kommos beach, which is less crowded and has clear waters. the rooms are clean, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. breakfast selection is good with various fruits and different pastries available.

The swimming pool is small and not very clean, with a strong chemical smell that made it hard to relax.

A warm welcome, clean rooms, generous homemade breakfast, lovely pool area, easy walk to the beach and restaurants.

Nothing that I didn't like.
